Sustainable Agriculture Advocate & Water Conservationist
Aurangabad, Maharashtra
“Restoring dryland watersheds and teaching regenerative farming to over 1,200 smallholder farmers in Marathwada.”
About Vikram Menon
Vikram Menon left an agricultural sciences professorship to work side-by-side with drought-affected farming families. His watershed interventions have raised groundwater tables by an average of 4.2 meters across 16 villages.
The Turning Point & Life Journey
Witnessing agrarian distress and acute water scarcity in Maharashtra, Vikram designed a community-managed pond and check-dam architecture that local farmers could build and maintain without heavy external machinery.
