From Selling Chai at 14 to Funding College for 50 Slum Kids: The Journey of Subhash Uncle
“Every morning from 4 AM, he brews tea in Old Delhi. Every evening, he runs an open-air academy that has helped dozens of first-generation learners clear board exams.”

When Subhash Yadav was fourteen, the sudden loss of his father forced him to leave school and stand behind a kerosene stove in Old Delhi. For thirty years, his hands worked tirelessly stirring steaming cauldrons of masala chai.
"I always looked at children carrying school bags past my stall. I promised myself that if I could ever earn an extra rupee, no child in my lane would have to drop out because of an exam fee."
In 2012, Subhash started setting aside 20% of his daily tea stall profits into a steel tin. He began tutoring four neighborhood kids under the street lamp in the alley. When word spread, volunteer college students joined him.
Over the past decade, his small initiative grew into the 'Apna Pathshala' evening center. More than fifty students have gone on to attend universities, vocational polytechnics, and nursing schools. Subhash still wakes up at 4 AM to light his stove, greeting every student with a warm cup of milk and words of encouragement.

Grassroots initiatives like Subhash Yadav's journey prove that one person's resilience transforms entire communities.
